Benedetto del Tronto<\/strong> is known as<strong> port basin<\/strong> but it is ready to discover its treasures and its legendary history which we\u2019ll tell you in the ancient part of the fishing village.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The route starts in <strong>Sacconi Square<\/strong>, in the medieval part of S. Benedetto del Tronto: we\u2019ll tell you the glorious <strong>\u00a0Roman past of the Roman colony of S. Benedetto<\/strong>, discovering the treasures which were rediscovered in the square during the last archeological excavations. We\u2019ll visit the suggestive <strong>Gualtieri Tower<\/strong> with its medieval defensive asset. Benedetto Martire<\/strong>, the patron saint of the village: we\u2019ll admire the internal altars embellished with beautiful paintings and we\u2019ll tell the story of the ancient Benedetto.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We\u2019ll stroll in the village,\u00a0 in <strong>Muto Street,<\/strong> <strong>Rossini Street,<\/strong> <strong>Firenze Street<\/strong> and we\u2019ll reach the beautiful <strong>Bice Piacentini Square<\/strong> with a strange house, <strong>the<\/strong> <strong>Wind\u2019s House.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Strolling along <strong>Consolato Street<\/strong> we\u2019ll reach <strong>Piacentini Palace<\/strong>, residence of the local poetess <strong>Bice Piacentini,<\/strong> dating from the XIX century; in the palace it\u2019s possible to visit the precious <strong>Sea Art Gallery<\/strong> with paintings by the most important artists between<strong> the XIX and the XX centuries<\/strong>:<strong> Chatelain<\/strong>, <strong>Adolfo De Carolis<\/strong>, <strong>Marchegiani<\/strong> and <strong>Landi.<\/strong> They frequented the seasides of S. Benedetto del Tronto. Their paintings represent the women and the men\u2019s life and customs in San Benedetto del Tronto. On the last floor of the palace the Bice\u2019s private office is conserved; here you can admire a <strong>precious collection of her books.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>When you\u2019ll finish the visit in the ancient village of S.
